Our LUXAR® SILVERSTAR® EN2plus anti-reflective, heat-insulating glazing offers you a host of energy benefits coupled with a broad spectrum of design options. Thanks to its outstanding U-value of 1.1W/m2K, using LUXAR® SILVERSTAR® EN2plus anti-reflective, heat-insulating glazing can reduce a building’s energy consumption and emissions of harmful substances while increasing its level of comfort. Along with its outstanding U-value, LUXAR® SILVERSTAR® EN2plus has an optimized SHGC /g-Value of 64% – allowing you to utilize the sunlight entering the building for passive solar gain.

82% of the light that falls on LUXAR® SILVERSTAR® EN2plus is neutral in color when transmitted, ensuring interiors are bright and friendly. What’s more, thanks to its greatly reduced mirror effect, LUXAR® SILVERSTAR® EN2plus offers architects increased creative freedom to combine high energy efficiency with a transparent, light appearance. You can use LUXAR® SILVERSTAR® EN2plus insulated glazing wherever you need to combine a high level of transparency with energy efficiency. Full visibility and low U-values make LUXAR® SILVERSTAR® EN2plus the product of choice for use in modern architectural applications that use large areas of glazing. Typical applications include: 

  • Architectural applications (heat-insulating facades, winter gardens)

You can order LUXAR® SILVERSTAR® EN2plus insulated glazing in various thicknesses – allowing you to achieve full room-height glazing.

LUXAR® SILVERSTAR® EN2plus insulated glazing comprises for example of two 4mm-thick float glass sheets, a 16mm spacer filled with argon gas and achieves a light reflection value of 12% on the exterior.

A 16mm spacer filled with argon gas enables LUXAR® Silverstar® ENplus insulated glazing to achieve a U-value of 1.1 W/m2K (EN 673) and an overall SHGC/g-Value of 64%.

Handle LUXAR® SILVERSTAR® ENplus insulated glazing with care and store glass  with its protective film (only where applicable) still attached, in an area protected from sunlight. Damage can be avoided by keeping supports, layers and suction tools clean. During installation, remove any traces of sealants right away. It is essential that you keep other building materials such as lime or cement away from glass surfaces, as these binders can harm the coating. If the glass does get dirty, wash away any spilled material with plenty of water and avoid rubbing the material, as dirt grains may scratch the glass.

To ensure your LUXAR® SILVERSTAR® ENplus insulated glazing stays clear, it should be carefully and regularly cleaned. We recommend using a soft cotton cloth, or a sponge and plenty of water. If needed, non-abrasive, neutral detergents can also be added to the water.
